Bernie LeFebvre Aquatic Center in Fort Walton Beach: This heated indoor 6-lane lap pool offers aquacise classes, family swim time and lap swim time. Call ahead at 850-863-7946 to find out which programs are available, since they run on a schedule. The Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation, which runs this pool, also operates the Taj Renee Community Aquatic Center in Destin. This outdoor 8-lane pool is also heated.
Indoor trampoline parks: The area has two indoor amusement parks, both of which promise to give your younger guests an opportunity to get their energy out on a cold or rainy day. Surge Adventure Park is in Mary Esther, while Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park is in Destin.
Restaurants and Bars: There is no shortage of restaurants and bars to pass a few hours on a day that’s not as well suited for outdoor activities.
